A Stick in a Stump

 I started out and the BIRDS!  THE BIRDS!  I have a recording of 10 different birds (my Merlin app tells me so) singing to welcome the new day.  I got a video of a bright red cardinal singing BIRDIE, BIRDIE (but it failed to upload ... so ONWARD)

I thought, other than the birds, it was going to be a dull walk AGAIN... I went so far as to stick a stick in a stump so I'd have something to photograph.  

AND THEN... I went to the library.  Oh glorious day! hahahahahah  ONE GORGEOUS TREE shouting to the weather gods.. SPRING SPRING SPRING!!

  Took the walks.

Saw NOTHING.

Oh well.

Good thing I had those days with EXTRA pictures or I won't make the 365,000.

Just to take your minds off bad presidential portraits and the way our country is going to hell in a handbasket.

Here's my early morning:

In the book I was reading, there was a description of a neighborhood bar.  It made a memory flash through my mind -  about a bar that Kathy and I went to in Glassboro.

It was an "old man bar" in the neighborhood of Yale Road.  I have NO idea what the name was -  but I know that we sat at the bar and then a "breaking news event" came on the TV.

So my AM mission -  to try and figure out WHO DIED in that newscast.  

I had a memory of Harry Truman being mentioned -  but Harry died in 1972 - so NOPE.

I searched presidents who died in time period 1977 or 1978.  NOPE

I searched for famous people who died in that time period hahaha... no good.

Finally... I thought -  I'm pretty sure Harry Truman was mentioned.  Who was Harry's VICE President?  NOPE.
I don't know WHY I MISremembered Truman's name -  but Hubert Humphrey (John's VP) died January 13, 1978! BINGO! (at least I HOPE it's a bingo)
SO -  that's how I spent my raining Monday morning hahahahahah

ALLLL day raining -  and just before sunset THE SUN CAME OUT to say Hello and Goodbye!

I will add a picture later -  IF I take something.  It's SO VERY WINDY I'm afraid to walk in the woods!  I walked this AM, but saw nothing photo worthy.

March is Much More Boring than February

 Maybe it's the fact that I have walked the same path for too many days.  There is nothing new. ARGH.

So here is stupidity -

New Point Comfort Beach

 

Story about that lighthouse. I saw a hint in ancestry that said Robert Pipo sold properties in New Point Comfort Beach. I never heard of that - so I googled to see where it was. I came across the picture of the lighthouse in Virginia. The amazing thing - when we lived in Bayville, NJ on a lagoon off Barnegat Bay - we bought a little lighthouse for our deck. We had it 16 years (and dumped it when we moved because it had deteriorated over time). We never knew that it actually was a replica of New Point Comfort lighthouse. AMAZING! Come to find out that there is also a New Point Comfort Beach in Monmouth County NJ. THAT is probably where Robert Pipo sold parcels of land - BUT HOW COOL that it answered a 16 year question that we didn't even know we had!

It's hard to see -  but this is tall weed.  It's a wishy weed that is slowly collapsing.  I hope it comes back as a tall, beaufitul wishy weed now that spring has arrived - sort of.
